Thank you for making a high quality product! I purchased the medium so both of my pugs can share it. I can tell the materials are top notch! I have one suggestion for taking this bed to even another level… a tent pole to prop up the opening of the sleeping bag (creating a dome, and crawl in tent-like feature.) this would allow a dog to crawl in and out of the sleeping bag, and even nestle down inside while having a hole to look out of. My pug, Junebug already loves this bed!! We plan to travel in a couple months, and looking forward to using the compartment inside. Thank you again!
Hi Kelly, we love that you love your RuffRest! The tent pole a great idea and one that was incorporated into the original design, but we opted to keep the opening soft and flexible to conform around dogs so that they stayed warmer. I’ve been absolutely loving our Timberdog RuffRest — it’s hands down one of the most versatile dog travel essentials I’ve ever used. The multiple storage compartments are a game changer. I am traveling with a 15 year old, sometimes grumpy, dog and he is in pretty good condition but gets cold easily and prefers softer surfaces than he used to need. So I was looking for a more rugged, outdoor-friendly dogbed to take on my road trip with my new teardrop camper. He loves the sleeping bag feature the most! I have taken it out to dog-friendly patios to help so he is more comfortable, he sleeps under it in and out of the car, and we love how easy it is to clean versus other dog beds. It has been great keep his meds and other things in the organizer inside as well. Really it has worked out perfectly for us. I highly recommend for older dogs, not done adventuring!
Hello G Pruitt! We love to hear from folks who have older dogs, as it's confirmation that our travel bed is not just good looking - it's supportive, too. We tested a dual foam combination in it for over a year to ensure that the memory foam is soft enough to luxuriously sink into, while the secondary high-density foam is firm enough to undergird a dog's bones and joints. I literally can’t get my dogs to stay off this bed! We have multiple dog beds throughout the home, and our dogs literally go out of their way to lay on their Ruff Rest. It is the best dog bed we have ever gotten, and you can travel with it too?? So great! This is the best dog bed you can buy!
